The five one-off Fiat Topolino vehicles in Disney design, whose paintwork is inspired by Mickey Mouse, are currently on display at the Centro Commerciale Lingotto in Turin. The electric light vehicles are on display at the edge of the spiral driveway to the roof of the shopping center in the former Fiat factory. The attractions of the multifunctional building also include La Pista 500, a test track for electric vehicles embedded in a huge roof garden, and the Casa 500, a multivision exhibition dedicated to the Fiat 500.
The five Topolino cars were a symbolic gift from Fiat for Disney's 100th birthday. Topolino is the Italian name for Mickey Mouse. Inspired by creatives from Disney's studios, the car manufacturer created a special design for four of the vehicles, each representing a comic-style theme. The fifth unique piece was created in collaboration with Giorgio Cavazzano, one of the most famous Disney illustrators.
The Fiat Topolino can be driven in Germany from the age of 15 and is also available as an open-top version. (aum)
