Skoda Octavia: The heart of the brand beats even stronger
It remains the heart of the brand: despite the SUV trend, the Octavia is still Skoda's bestseller. The exterior upgrade includes newly designed front and rear bumpers as well as the modified radiator grille. Also new are the second-generation Matrix LED headlights and revised LED rear lights with animated indicators.
In addition to new and environmentally friendly materials for the seats, dashboard and door panels, the ten-inch digital cockpit is also included as standard, depending on the version. The familiar Digital Cockpit Plus, which made its debut in the third generation of the Octavia, remains available as an option. For the first time, customers can order a 13-inch infotainment display for the Octavia as an option. Škoda will integrate the AI-based chatbot Chat-GPT into the digital voice assistant Laura as standard at a later date.
As a result of the redesign, the saloon and estate have grown slightly by just under one centimeter to 4.70 meters. The engine range consists of two petrol and two diesel units with different power outputs, ranging from 115 PS (85 kW) to 265 PS (195 kW). The 2.0 TSI with increased power from 190 hp to 204 hp (150 kW) comes with all-wheel drive as standard and will be available a little later. The output of the lowered top-of-the-range RS model has been increased by 20 PS.
The modified Octavia has up to ten airbags and extended driving assistance systems. There are four equipment lines and nine interior designs. The two-zone air conditioning system is now standard. The USB-C ports will charge three times faster in future and the range of storage compartments has been significantly expanded, particularly in the rear. Tablet holders for the front seat backrests and a luggage compartment cover for the estate that rolls up automatically when the tailgate is opened are available on request.
