Colorful new edition

For 14 years, the Juke has been rolling off the production line at a Nissan Motor Manufacturing plant in Washington, a town of 50,000 inhabitants in the north-east of England. The second version of the compact crossover with the polarizing design was launched at the end of 2019. Now the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance has seen fit to give the Juke a new interior with more comfort and some additional improvements. The color scheme of the new N-Sport version introduced with the facelift is particularly eye-catching.

"When we presented the second generation of the Nissan Juke, the most frequent question we were asked was: Is there a yellow Juke again?", recalled Nissan's Regional Vice President Arnaud Charpentier. Now this customer wish is being fulfilled. The all-yellow N-Sport version features contrasting black paint on the roof, exterior mirrors, wheel arches, radiator grille and A and B pillars, giving the car more than just a hint of dynamism in addition to attracting a lot of attention. But that's not all. Yellow also appears in the interior as a bold color stripe on the dashboard and can be found again in the applications of the sports seats and their decorative stitching.

Everything has remained the same with the engines: There is a 117 hp (86 kW) three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a hybrid drive, which combines a 94 hp (69 kW) combustion engine with a 36 kW (49 hp) electric motor. Remarkable: In addition to a range of useful assistance systems, all equipment variants now have a reversing camera as standard. From the N-Connecta line upwards, an all-round bird's eye view is available on request thanks to four cameras.

The new Nissan Juke will probably be available from May. Prices have not yet been set. (aum)
