Iconic motorcycles for enthusiasts
Harley-Davidson is presenting new models from its Icons Motorcycle Collection and Enthusiast Motorcycle Collection with exclusive graphics and special paint finishes at Daytona Bike Week (March 2-9) in the USA. The Icons model was also inspired by the machines ridden in the American feature film "The Bikeriders". Set in the 1960s, it tells the story of the rise of a motorcycle club in the Midwest of the USA from the perspective of its members and is due to be released in our cinemas in July 2024.
The Hydra-Glide Revival is the fourth model in the Icons series to be released this year. It is a reminder of the classic Hydra-Glide models of the E and F series, with which Harley-Davidson introduced the telescopic fork 75 years ago. Only 1750 of the Revival will be built. Like all icons, it is numbered consecutively and is only built in the year of its release.
The Hydra-Glide Revival wears the special Redline Red paint finish and the sides of its tank are painted in Birch White - a look that corresponds to the 1956 models. This is complemented by Hydra-Glide lettering on the front fender and chrome-plated tank badges with the lettering "Harley-Davidson V", the style of which is inspired by the tank badges of 1955 and 1956. In addition, the special inserts and lots of chrome make the model unmistakable.
The dial of the speedometer was based on the 1954 and 1955 versions, and the lower part of the 53.3 centimetre high dial was painted in Redline Red. A round air filter and wire wheels underline the nostalgic look.
The solo saddle is fitted with a leather valance decorated with fringes, chrome rivets, white piping with red contrasting stitching, chrome conchos with a border and a center made of red acrylic and spanned by a chrome railing. The leather tank strap and the leather and vinyl-covered pannier shells are in the same style. The Milwaukee-Eigth 114 is equipped with a "Screamin' Eagle" air filter.
"Tobacco Fade" is the name of the new machines in the Enthusiast Motorcycle Collection. They are limited to no more than 2000 units each. Caramel-colored pinstripes accentuate the Tobacco Fade shade of the shiny metallic gold surfaces beyond the sunburst fade areas. The tank emblem is reminiscent of the shape and grooves of a record, while the logo on the front fender is designed like a guitar pick. The logos of rock bands and instruments served as inspiration, which is also reflected in the lettering.
The Tobacco Fade Enthusiast Motorcycle Collection includes the Low Rider ST, the Ultra Limited and the Tri Glide Ultra.
The Hydra-Glide Revival costs 33,995 euros (Austria: 39,995 euros; Switzerland: 32,900 CHF), the Tobacco Fade Collection starts at 26,675 euros (A: 32,295 euros; CH: 27,700 CHF) for the Low Rider ST. (aum)
