Skoda celebrates the production of its three millionth SUV. The black Kodiaq Sportline rolled off the production line at the Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic. The SUV era at the Volkswagen subsidiary began in 2009 with the Yeti. It was replaced by the Kamiq in 2017. With the larger Kodiaq and the smaller Kamiq, as well as the electric Enyaq, there are now three more model series in the booming vehicle segment. Skoda has also developed the Kushaq specifically for India. The five SUV series now account for a good half of Skoda's worldwide deliveries. However, the brand's bestseller remains the Octvaia. (aum)
