Even though photos of only faintly camouflaged pre-production vehicles have already been published, additional design sketches are intended to draw attention to the new Skoda Kodiaq shortly before its premiere in a week's time. Compared to the previously published images, the drawings at least hint at an (optional) D-pillar in dark chrome finish as well as the LED matrix headlights of the second generation. The angular wheel arches are also somewhat more visible.
With the second model generation, Skoda will also offer its largest model as a plug-in hybrid for the first time. In addition, there are two gasoline engines and two diesels. The more powerful variants will be delivered with all-wheel drive. The basic gasoline engine is designed as a mild hybrid. All engines are coupled to a direct-shift transmission. The official premiere of the vehicle is on October 4. (aum)
