Triumph names its motocross riders

Triumph has named the two factory riders for its first motocross season next year. Mikkel Haarup and Camden McLellan will compete for the Monster Energy Triumph Racing team in the MX2 World Championship on the new 250 cc machines. Mikkel Haarup (22) was seventh in the overall standings in 2022. The Dane was not quite as successful this year. Camden McLellan was fourth in the European Championship last year. The 19-year-old South African finished this year's MX2 season in 13th place after an injury-related interruption.

The team is based in the Netherlands. The year after next, Triumph also wants to compete in the MXGP with larger machines. (aum)
