The small van segment is growing in length

Both the Mercedes-Benz T-Class and the Citan Tourer are now available to order in a long version. This increases their vehicle length to almost five meters. As a result, both model variants will in future offer more space for child seats and passengers, luggage and equipment or for goods and work materials. In addition, the flexibly extendable Marco Polo module is also available from sales partners in Germany. It can be used to transform the standard-length small vans into micro campers.

The long-wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz T-Class is 38.4 centimetres longer than the standard version. Among other things, this benefits the space in the interior. Customers have the option of a third row of seats with two individual seats. This means that the long-wheelbase version offers up to seven seats. Compared to the standard-length model, the second row of seats in the long-wheelbase version has three individual seats instead of a rear bench seat. Both the second and third rows of seats are slightly raised. All seats in the second and third rows can be individually moved or folded and also removed for maximum use of the interior space. The maximum luggage compartment volume increases by 1700 liters to 3660 liters.

The T-Class with long wheelbase is available from 32,547.69 euros.

The Marco Polo module transforms both the Mercedes-Benz T-Class and the standard-length Citan Tourer into a micro-camper in no time at all. The camping module, which can be flexibly installed and removed, is placed in the trunk of the respective vehicle and secured using lashing eyes. It consists of a standard bed unit for two people and an optional kitchen unit with sink and gas stove. A cool box can also be added on request, which can be placed in the kitchen unit.

The price for the Marco Polo module starts at 3059.85 euros.

The Citan is the Mercedes-Benz among commercial small vans. Compared to the standard version, the wheelbase has increased by 38.4 centimeters to a total of 3.10 meters. The long-wheelbase version is equipped with three individual seats in the second row as standard. There is also the option of two additional individual seats in the third row. Both the second and third row seats are adjustable. The backrests can be folded down if required and the individual seats are easy to fold thanks to their low weight. The Citan Tourer has two sliding doors as standard, which are particularly practical in tight parking spaces. These extend to 83 cm on both sides.

Prices for the long-wheelbase version of the Citan Tourer start at 33,141.50 euros. (aum)
