Skoda Auto is expanding its partnership with Allur in Kazakhstan, which was announced in October. Martin Jahn, Skoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing, signed agreements in Astana together with representatives of the strategic partner on the future structure of the cooperation. In addition to sales and production, both companies agreed to work closely together in the area of technical training.
The agreements cover the local final assembly of semi-knocked-down (SKD) kits as well as feasibility tests for local vehicle production based on completely knocked-down (CKD) kits, which could start after 2025. Local production of the Octavia, Kamiq, Karoq and Kodiaq models from semi-knocked-down (SKD) kits will start in the first quarter of 2024. (aum)
