Lancia has published a photo of the front section of the new all-electric Ypsilon. It shows a reinterpretation of the historic radiator grille, which is reminiscent of a chalice, known as a "calice" in Italian. The light graphic consists of three converging LED strips. Lancia has also taken strong inspiration from the Pu+Ra HPE concept car. The design, inspired by the historic Lancia Beta Montecarlo, is characterized by glossy black. Another detail on the radiator grille is the brand name made of satin-finished stainless steel.
The new Lancia Ypsilon will be presented in Milan in February 2024. It will be launched with the special Lancia Ypsilon Cassina Limited Edition model in a run of 1906 units - as a tribute to the year the brand was founded. With the Ypsilon, Lancia, most recently only present in Italy with the model of the same name, is returning to the European market. Two further models - Gamma and Delta - have been announced for the next four years. (aum)
