Hyundai has laid the foundation stone for an expansion of its research and development center in Rüsselsheim, Germany. The new 25,000 square meter building, which is expected to be completed in 2025, will double the existing office and research space of the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC). The building will be particularly energy-efficient. The new laboratories will be used to further develop driver assistance systems, infotainment functions and electrification, among other things. Among other things, the new building will house the Group's largest noise and vibration comfort test bench for all-wheel drive vehicles. (aum)
