Chery wants to break the two million mark

The holding company of the Chinese automotive group Chery set a sales record last year. The manufacturer from Wuhu, which is also entering the German market this summer with the Omoda and Jaecoo brands, sold over 1.88 million vehicles worldwide in 2023. The two million mark is also expected to be reached this year thanks to its presence in Europe.

Chery exported almost half of all vehicles last year, doubling its foreign sales. No other Chinese car manufacturer was more successful on the international markets. Last year, the company increased its turnover by more than 50 percent to the equivalent of around 38.7 billion euros. Chery puts the total number of cars sold to date at over 13 million. Around a quarter of these were exported. (aum)
