VW delivered 4.87 million cars
The Volkswagen brand delivered around 4.87 million vehicles worldwide last year. This is 6.7 percent more than in 2022. Sales of all-electric models increased by 21.1 percent to around 394,000 units. The largest markets for electric vehicles were China, Germany, the USA, the UK, Sweden, France, Norway and Belgium. VW is also benefiting from the SUV boom. Every second vehicle of the brand worldwide falls into this category. Demand rose by almost 15 percent. The most popular Volkswagen model in this segment in Europe was the T-Roc. (aum)
