Volkswagen delivered 409,400 light commercial vehicles last year. This is 24.6 percent more than in the previous year, when the effects of the war in Ukraine and uncertainties in the supply chains had significantly slowed down production and sales. The growth affected all five model series, each of which increased by at least ten percent and far more.

With 104,600 new registrations (up 6.3%), Germany remains by far the company's strongest market worldwide. The second-largest market was the UK with 40,000 deliveries (+26.3%).

In Eastern Europe, sales rose by almost 50 percent to 31,800 vehicles. Poland remains the largest single market. In Mexico, VWN's only market in North America until the launch of the ID Buzz LWB in the USA, deliveries rose slightly by 2.2 percent to 6,600 units.

In South America, VW recorded growth of 29 percent to 41,500 deliveries of its commercial vehicles. Argentina remains the largest single market with an increase of 40.7 percent to 29,800 units. In the Asia-Pacific region, 15,100 vehicles were sold, with Australia as the most important market. There, 10,300 vans and delivery vans were sold. In the previous year, 8,100 units were sold. In Africa, deliveries increased by 37 percent to 9,900 vehicles, with more than two thirds going to customers in South Africa, where 1,700 more units were sold than in the previous year. In the Middle East, VW delivered 18,300 vans and pick-ups (previous year: 12,300). The largest customer is Turkey, where deliveries rose by 55.5 percent to 16,600 vehicles.
