More than 200,000 Skoda Enyaq produced

Skoda has now produced more than 200,000 units of its SUV Enyaq. The anniversary model, a white Enyaq Coupé Sportline, rolled off the production line on February 16. Last year, the VW subsidiary's successful model was the fourth best-selling electric vehicle in Europe, with 81,700 vehicles delivered worldwide - an increase of more than 50 percent compared to 2022.

In the Czech Republic, the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé share a quarter of the market for all-electric vehicles. This makes them the most popular electric cars in the Skoda brand's home country. The duo also leads in Slovakia with a market share of 17 percent, while in Estonia, Finland, Austria and Switzerland they are in second place in the sales statistics. In Germany, the Enyaq was the best-selling electric car in October and November 2023. With the 2024 model year, the electric SUV received more powerful powertrains, a longer range and faster charging.

Skoda intends to further expand its electric mobility program with the world premiere of the new Elroq later this year. The battery-electric compact SUV marks the start of a campaign in which the range of electric vehicles is to be expanded by a total of six new electric models in the coming years. (aum)
