Skoda Auto has opened a regional office of Volkswagen Group Technology Solutions India (VWITS) in Prague. India is home to one of the world's largest IT centers of the Volkswagen Group. Over 2600 computer specialists work there. The experts in the Czech Republic will cooperate with the specialists there to expand the range of digital services. Initially there will be 30 employees.
The main focus of the new location is on cooperation with local software providers, for example in the areas of logistics, production and trade. International cooperation and the exchange of talent between the two countries will also be intensified. International applicants will be offered long-term internships.
India is an important market for Skoda, where independent models are also built for the local market. The company is the strategic leader for the VW Group and its individual brands on the subcontinent. (aum)
