In October, 338,800 cars were built in Germany. This was 19 percent more than in the same month last year. In the first ten months, production rose by 23% year-on-year to just under 3.5 million cars. However, according to the German Association of the Automotive Industry, this is still 13% less than in the same period of the pre-crisis year 2019.
Exports rose by 14 percent to 255,800 vehicles last month. So far this year, 2.6 million passenger cars have been delivered abroad, 22 percent more than in the first ten months of last year and twelve percent less than from January to October 2019. (aum)
