Seat recorded the second-highest vehicle sales in its history last year with 519,200 vehicles. Compared to 2022, this represents an increase of 34.6 percent. The core brand increased sales by around a quarter to 288,400 cars, while Cupra sales rose by half to 230,700 units. At the end of the year, both brands achieved their best December result to date with a total of 47,200 deliveries.
In Germany, the most important single market, Seat increased its sales with both brands by 18.8 percent to 132,624 new registrations. This represents a market share of 4.7 percent. This makes the Spaniards the second-strongest importer behind VW Group sister company Skoda. The home country is the second most important sales market, ahead of Great Britain and France, where sales figures were each over 50 percent higher than the previous year. However, markets such as Mexico and Turkey, Austria, Denmark and Poland also developed extremely successfully.
The most popular models are the Cupra Formentor and the Seat Arona. (aum)
