Shortly before its market launch, the revised Porsche Taycan has completed its final test drives. In total, the new generation models, including the Cross Turismo and Sport Turismo, have covered around 3.6 million test kilometers on proving grounds, race tracks and public roads in 17 countries around the world.
The temperature scale during the test drives ranged from plus 53 degrees Celsius in Death Valley in California to minus 41 degrees Celsius in Finland around 350 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, where the charging times of the electric sports car were also tested in the cold. Hot-land testing took place in the USA. Among other things, the development team tested the reliability of the thermal management system in extreme heat. (aum)
