BMW has completed the new halls for the production of electric motors at its Austrian plant in Steyr. Starting in the fall of next year, they will be used to build the drives for the so-called New Classes, which will be launched on the market in 2026 and built in Munich. The annual capacity is around 600,000 e-drives. Pre-series production will start in the summer. Until then, around 300 machines and systems worth over half a billion euros will be built in Steyr.
