The premiere of the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric is eagerly awaited at the Geneva Motor Show (26.2.-3.3.). Around the new model with the famous type designation, the brand is not only presenting a small R5 collection, but also "5 Movements". Behind this are ideas from five French start-ups for various leisure activities, such as the first demountable sailing dinghy or an electric BMX bike.
The French start-up Reverso is breaking new ground with its compact, ultra-stable rigid-hull sailing boat of the same name. It measures 3.40 by 1.45 meters and can be dismantled into four floating parts, making it easy to stow and transport. The sailing dinghy weighs just under 17 kilograms and is designed to glide across the water at speeds of up to 45 km/h.
Also on the water is the Searacer, the first electric jet ski. The vehicle has already won a design award and has a prominent sponsor in French Grand Prix motorcyclist Fabio Quartararo. The Searacer weighs 65 kilograms, can reach speeds of up to 77 km/h and can be used for up to two hours before it has to be plugged in again. You can also plow through the waves for a good hour and a half with the Plume Foil. The all-electric foil board rises out of the water at 15 km/h and then reaches a speed of 35 km/h.
The Evol BMX, which is also on display, is a BMX S-pedelec that can reach speeds of up to 45 km/h. It weighs 13 kilograms and can travel around 40 kilometers on one battery charge. The motor delivers 500 watts. Last but not least, the Renault stand will also feature the first electrically powered snow scooter. The Moonracer has a service life of three hours and can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h. The patented vehicle is built in the Alps. (aum)
