Hobby Maxia Van 680 DT: Big discount for the camper van

Hobby recently added a second variant to the cozy Maxia van, the 680 DT version. It is based on the VW Crafter, with a two-liter diesel engine with 130 kW (177 hp) and an eight-speed automatic gearbox under the hood as standard. To mark the market launch of the new model, Hobby is offering an exceptional discount campaign for the camper. The introductory price has been reduced by 20,000 euros until the end of May; instead of 89,750 euros, the 680 DT costs just 69,750 euros. The brand from the far north of Germany wants to compete with VW's Grand California and the various Sprinter conversions.

The new addition brings with it the cozy hygge flair that was already convincing in the Maxia Van 680 ET. Its spacious interior and straightforward design with light walnut wood and gray felt-look panelling combine Nordic clarity with a pleasant living ambience.

In the front area, there is a seating area for two people including the swivel armchairs for the driver and front passenger and a spacious wardrobe that can be fitted with either a clothes rail or two shelves. The rotating column-mounted swivel table can be precisely adjusted or stowed away in the standard double floor. The furnishings in the rear are variable: during the day there is a face-to-face seating area, in the evening it becomes a comfortable round seating area and at night a single or double bed with a length of two meters. Three-stage upholstery and a slatted frame ensure good sleeping comfort.

With a weight of less than 3.5 tons, the Van 680 DT incurs fewer road tolls in other European countries, and the powerful Truma diesel heater also allows it to be used in the cold season. The standard of equipment is high, including a shower room with toilet, a 90-liter compressor refrigerator and a sink with 2-burner hob and electric ignition. Thanks to the high roof, the Hobby van has a continuous interior headroom of two meters. (aum/mk)
